The main reason is that unlike other Driver Updater tools, this ones downloads DriverPacks, which can be quite large to download, paired with the fact the download speed through the program is slow, it can make using this cumbersome. But still even if it can correctly detect drivers, sometimes their compatibility might be bad from making the system work worse to the point of not even being able to boot up.įor what it is worth, I still prefer this over other driver updaters, but honestly I would not readily suggest it to people that just want to use it for their own system.

Snappy's UI is clunkier than the prettier IOBit, and it's process isn't entirely clear until you get used to it. In some cases this will break your computer and require you to do a system restore, so be wary. In many cases you can simply install everything it recommends without a hitch. And if you do, make sure you always check the "Create a Restore Point" box before installing. On the bright side, Snappy makes it very easy to visualize all hardware data and compare it to the driver it recommends so you can decide for yourself if you want to install it. For 99% success, just download the driver from the manufacturer's website, such as for your motherboard. Always be wary of driver installation programs. None of them - not even Snappy Driver Installer - are perfect. I've been testing driver update programs since 2015 - IOBit, Snappy, SlimDrivers, DriverMax, Unknown Device Identifier, etc.
